Biography
David Carisma is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in nephrology, with over a decade of experience in dialysis and renal care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barry University and his Master of Science in Nursing from West Coast University.
David began his nephrology career as a Patient Care Technician and later advanced to a Home Dialysis Registered Nurse, where he gained extensive experience managing patients on peritoneal and home hemodialysis while promoting patient education and independence.
With over ten years of hands-on experience, he has developed strong expertise in managing acute and chronic kidney disease, including patient assessment, care coordination, and evidence-based treatment planning.
Now practicing as a Nurse Practitioner, David is committed to using his accumulated experience to provide compassionate, high-quality care and improve outcomes for patients in his community.
